In light of the reality of the corona virus, I wanted to take a moment to discuss how I’ve been working to ensure safe shipping of my products.
A normal part of my business is ensuring my production area is clean and sanitized. I always wash my hands before beginning an activity that requires I come into contact with it, and I wear gloves.
To further ensure cleanliness in my soapery, everything is contained to one room until it is boxed and placed out for pickup by shipment carriers.
I am saddened that we are facing this and much uncertainty at the moment. Whether or not you take this seriously, I’d rather be safe than sorry.
We should all do our part, even if you are not particularly at risk, loved ones well may be.
Wash your hands properly and do so when you return home, no matter where you’ve been, don’t touch your face, and disinfect surfaces.
However, that only goes so far. If it’s in the air, only not breathing it in will help.
Stay home if you don’t have to go out.
Please.
And stop hoarding! Stores are running out of toilet paper and other necessities.
Although I have plenty of supply to make soap at the moment, I could easily sell out or be unable to source my ingredients. However, if stores begin to sell out of soap, remember Wise Oak Soapery and I will get some to you.
We’re in this together.
Stay well, be safe and be smart.
